Tito's Restrictions feature allow you to control who can register for your events by blocking or allowing specific email addresses and domains.
These rules apply both during the Registration stage and the Assign stage (learn more about Tito's checkout flow).
To get started, open your event and navigate to the Settings tab in the menu, then choose Restrictions to access the block and allow list.
Using the block list
The Block list prevents registrations from specific email addresses or domains:
Click the Enable button under "Email Block List."
Enter the email addresses or domains you wish to block. Each entry should be placed on a new line.
Once you've entered the domains or addresses, click Save to activate the block list.
You can test whether an email is blocked by entering an email in the test field and clicking Test.
Using the allow list
The Allow list restricts registrations to only those from specific email addresses or domains:
Click the Enable button under "Email Allow List."
Enter the email addresses or domains you wish to allow. Like the block list, each entry should be on a new line.
Click Save to enforce the allow list.
Use the test field to check if a specific email is allowed by entering an email and clicking Test.
Combining the block and allow lists
The allow list takes priority over the block list. This means if a domain is blocked, but a specific email address from that domain is allowed, this will be considered an exception to the block list.
For instance, if you block a domain (e.g., tito.io
) but want to allow a few email addresses from that domain, you can add specific addresses to the allow list (e.g., vicky@tito.io
).
What the attendee sees
If your customer enters an unauthorised email address or domain during the Registration or Assign stage of the checkout flow, they will see the following warning:
Alt text: The email address you have entered is not authorized to register to this event. Please contact the organizer for more information.
