How we calculate what tax you owe

When you sign up for an account, we'll ask you for your VAT status so we know whether to charge you VAT. You can update your status any time at http://billing.tito.io. We charge VAT on our fees (not on ticket sales) depending on your location and status:

If you're based in the EU and are VAT registered

We won't charge you VAT (as per the intra-EU Reverse Charge arrangement).

If you're based in the EU and are not VAT registered 

We legally have to charge VAT within the EU for digital services. We will charge you VAT on our fees at your local rate of tax (as per the EU VAT MOSS scheme).

If you are based outside of the EU

We won’t charge you VAT on our fees. We are providing digital services outside of the EU, so VAT MOSS is not applicable in this case.

If you don't tell us your VAT status

We will charge you VAT on our fees at your local rate of tax (as per the EU VAT MOSS scheme). If you are VAT registered, we’re able to remove it due to the reverse charge arrangement, but otherwise we are mandated to charge.
